A HUGE thank you to everyone who came on Sunday to Latin Quarter LIVE @ the Bonar Hall with the fantastic sounds from Orquesta Boreal.
Most of you will know that this event was going to be very tight to break even, but I am both relieved and delighted that we did it on the night !
This is mainly down to the help of the brilliant door ladies, Weronika, Fiona & Helen who managed to sell enough raffle tickets, along with some sold at my work (totaling £535) and some generous donations made online at ticket tailor and from a call out to a few friends last week (totaling £193) which all made up £728 of the TOTAL amount raised for Azul Wasi of £744 which is brilliant.
Thank you to the band, and to the hall staff, Josh, venue manager & the bar staff, and Adam and to Gordon from Sounds Inc for making it such a memorable evening in such a beautiful venue.
Also thanks to the door ladies above and to Milena for her help in advance of the event and on the night. Thanks to Steven, photographer who gave his time for free on the night.
….and a VERY BIG thank you to Tania, from SBK Dundee for her ongoing support for Latin Quarter classes & events and for all her help on Sunday.
I’d also like to thank Mel & Stuart @ Rohan Perth for their raffle prize but also for their sponsorship advert on social media.
Big thanks to everyone who donated the lovely raffle prizes and to a lot of you for going the extra mile on this event by spreading the word to friends, family and work colleagues and sharing on social media for which I am very grateful as I can’t put these bigger events on without this support at spreading the word beyond the dance class students to achieve the numbers required.
Big thanks to everyone who came from outside Dundee, I spotted a few folks from Aberdeen, Perth, Edinburgh and many places in between and to everyone who came out to party on a Sunday evening !
Thank you to Tom Jolly for providing the text for the update on the latest edition of the Azul Wasi Courier on the tables and to Alcides the grand ‘papa’ to the children at Azul Wasi children’s home in Peru.
